WE ARE THE NETWORK CONNnECTING COMMUNITIES.
Network Connect builds community capacity by coordinating grassroots and local partners to provide youth and families with social services, education programs, workforce skills, and mental health supports.
CWAs (Community Well-Being Ambassadors) have distributed over 4000 Narcan kits and trained 1876 community members in Narcan delivery
We're making an impact by connecting people to the resources they need.
Since the program launched in 2020, Network Connect has delivered over 2,500 RACE (Reverse the Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences) kits to the community.
The Future Culture Creator Employment Program provides youth ages 14-19, who are currently enrolled in school, with an enriching, constructive year round-training, employment and internships through subsidized placement with local creatives, community-based organizations, and non-profit organizations.
Dual School engages young people in meaningful, self-directed entrepreneurial work. Dual School’s Design Thinking curriculum teaches agency, empathy, equity-based thinking, and problem-solving. Dual School’s Social Change Fellowship, a 13-week idea incubation program, has served hundreds of Delaware teens as well as young people across the United States and abroad.
The Community Well-Being Ambassador (CWA) Initiative is a community-driven, place-based prevention strategy to increase the capacity of targeted neighborhoods in the City of Wilmington and Kent County by promoting community well-being and resiliency among their residents across the lifespan. The newly established CWA initiative is the result of a collective impact approach between the following organizations across Delaware who are willing to bring their unique skills in the interest of addressing a common cause.
RACE to Wellness is a campaign developed by Network Connect to Reverse the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst teens. The CDC defines ACEs as “potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years).” Network Connect’s RACE programming includes after-school programming, summer camps, and the distribution of RACE kits during RACE days. RACE programs offer helpful tools and educational resources youth and families can use to reverse the impact of adverse childhood experiences.
"Network Connect is an amazing community partner and they never disappoint! I am always wowed by the innovation that they show in translating research and data into actionable, best practices. Their RACE Kits are a perfect example of this and include, everyday healing-centered strategies that soothe the nervous system while responding to trauma and toxic stress. Network Connect is building a stronger Delaware, one connection at a time!"
